The
Boyfriend for Hire Story
 |
After
he finished serving for three years in the Israeli army, Eli Ben,
BFFH’s founder, came to the U.S. in 1994. A few weeks later,
he began working for a moving company, eventually becoming a foreman.
He then went “on the road” as a tractor trailer driver,
which allowed him to see the country in an amazing way. During his
time as a relocation expert, Eli acquired a great knowledge of homes
and their furnishings, including all types of furniture assembly,
home installations and repairs, and the proper handling of antiques.
In 1999, Eli studied at the French Culinary Institute in NYC. After
a year there, Eli realized that his future was not in cooking. He
then joined his brother in New York City, helping him in his West
Village home décor store. It helped Eli develop a great sense
of home décor, which he now passes on to his customers! When
his brother decided to close the store in February 2005, Eli had
to figure out what he wanted to do next.
Since he has always been very handy and knowledgeable about home
repairs, along with the experience he had acquired in the U.S.,
Eli decided to take those skills to the next level and open his
own business. Voila, Boyfriend for Hire was born! A perfectionist
by nature, Eli takes great pleasure and satisfaction in providing
top notch home repair and installation services for his customers.
In the near future, he plans on expanding the Boyfriend for Hire
franchise to service every major metropolitan area.
